Singer Zeeshan Ali revealed that Sajna Da Dil Torya was actually recorded a decade ago. The song has become a massive hit in Pakistan, quickly gaining traction as the anthem for the popular drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.
This heartfelt track beautifully captures the pain and heartbreak of the characters Mustafa and Sharjeena, resonating deeply with viewers. Sung by Zeeshan Ali, the song has taken the nation by storm, but its journey to success is an interesting one.
In an interview with Indian journalist Faridoon Shahryar, Zeeshan revealed that he had shelved this iconic track ten years ago and intended to release it in the future with a music video.
“Sajna Da Dil Torya was the first song I ever recorded, 10 years ago,” he stated.
Fahad Mustafa, the producer of Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, had initially reached out to Zeeshan to compose a sad song for the drama.
While Zeeshan produced several tracks, none of them seemed to align with the emotional tone of the drama. It was only after his wife, anchor Irza Khan, reminded him of the old track that it was brought back into consideration.
The song was eventually approved by Fahad Mustafa, who chose not to alter it, even though it had been recorded a long time ago.
Zeeshan also requested that the track remain untouched by the production team, and it was used exactly as it had been originally made.
Zeeshan Ali is no stranger to success in the Pakistani music scene. He is best known for his soulful performance of Tere Jeya Hor Disda in Nescafe Basement, a song that garnered widespread acclaim.
His recent collaboration with Coke Studio on the track 2 AM further solidified his position as a talented and beloved artist. Now, Sajna Da Dil Torya is captivating audiences across Pakistan, adding to his already impressive musical portfolio.
