Singer Talha Anjum addressed criticism over the use of alcohol references, violence, and cuss words in his songs, which some believe could negatively influence younger listeners. The rapper from Young Stunners duo clarified that his intention is never to mislead anyone, adding that the message people take from his songs ultimately depends on the listeners themselves.

Responding to a question about using explicit language, he admitted, “I would never say that the words I use are not wrong, but these are the kind of slang words commonly used in Karachi.”

The Gumaan vocalist further shared that he has recorded several tracks that don’t include profanity, mentioning one in which he raps, “What is the point of being a man if you can’t earn for yourself and your people?”

He explained that such meaningful lyrics are what people should focus on, while the occasional use of harsh language is simply "for entertainment."

“It depends on you, what message you take from it,” he emphasised.

Talha went on to say that most of his songs revolve around the idea of being consistent in life. “I’ve been making music for about 10 to 15 years, and I believe you can’t achieve anything without consistency,” he said.

Reflecting on his journey, he noted that since starting his career in 2009, music has been his only pursuit. “I gained recognition and stability only in the last five years,” he revealed.

“If anyone wants to take influence from me, it should be my passion and dedication,” he added. “My music will always remain unfiltered because I write very spontaneously, without shaping or censoring my thoughts.”
