Ushna Shah asks Pak Army to follow Iran's path and attack Israel

Renowned actor Ushna Shah called on the Pakistan Army to take action against Israel after Iran launched a barrage of missiles on IDF military bases.

Iran fired nearly 200 missiles across Israel on Tuesday in retaliation for the killings of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah's founding member Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, and the assassinations of top IRGC military commanders.

Iran’s massive missile attack on Israel sparked a wave of reactions on the microblogging platform X, where netizens shared their responses to Tehran’s harrowing retaliation.

Ushna Shah also joined the conversation, sharing a post that read, “Pak Fauj this is it. This is your time,” accompanied by flag emojis of Lebanon, Iran, and Syria, indicating a call for collective action against Israel.

While many social media users in Pakistan praised the attacks on the IDF, which is committing genocide against innocent Palestinians in Gaza, some criticised Ushna Shah’s post, questioning how a Pakistani attack on Israel would be feasible.

Journalist Ailia Zehra reacted to Shah’s post, stating, “Petition to stop Pakistani celebrities from tweeting about geopolitics.”

Many also called her out for suggesting Pakistan’s military action against Israel, which they argued is impractical from a geostrategic perspective, with the target nearly inaccessible.

Ushna has been a vocal critic of Israel’s military offensive in Gaza and frequently highlights the plight of Palestinians on her social media accounts.

However, some netizens disagreed with her stance, citing celebrities' lack of knowledge about regional issues when making such statements.
