Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday visited Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot to commend the armed forces for their professionalism and bravery during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a key part of The Marqa-e-Haq.

He was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Defence Minister, the Minister for Planning and Development, and the Information Minister.

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu were also present during the visit.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the battle’s execution and the operational preparedness of the Corps. He appreciated the performance of the armed forces, stating that the military’s swift and effective response neutralized the adversary’s aggression.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister said that the nation stands proud of its armed forces, who acted with precision and resolve. He praised their high morale and readiness while interacting with troops on the frontline.

Condemning attacks on civilians, the Prime Minister criticized India’s actions, stating they violated international laws and norms. He reiterated Pakistan’s earlier offer for a neutral investigation and said the armed forces had given a “befitting response.”

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the martyrs, calling them the pride of the nation. He was received by the Chief of Army Staff and Corps Commander Gujranwala upon arrival.
