Etihad Airways has announced the launch of direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar, set to commence on September 29, 2025.
The route will connect Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar, making it the fourth city in Pakistan served by the UAE’s national carrier, alongside Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore.
Initially, the airline will operate five weekly flights on the route, with plans to upgrade to daily service starting November 22, 2025. The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering eight Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said the new route demonstrates the airline's commitment to strengthening air connectivity between Pakistan and key global regions including the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America.
In addition to the new Peshawar service, Etihad will increase its Karachi frequency to 17 flights per week beginning October 1.
The announcement is part of the airline’s broader network expansion strategy, which includes recent launches to Addis Ababa, and upcoming services to Prague, Warsaw, Algiers, Tunis, and Atlanta. Etihad is also boosting frequencies to several European cities such as Paris, Milan, Manchester, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Madrid.
