The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has issued important additional instructions for candidates appearing in CSS 2026.
According to the FPSC, the written examinations for CSS 2026 will commence on 4 February. All registered candidates have been strongly urged to strictly follow the newly issued guidelines.
In a public notice, the FPSC stated that candidates must check the validity of their National Identity Card (NIC) or passport and renew it before expiry. The commission clarified that expired NICs or passports will not be accepted for entry into the examination hall, and candidates with invalid documents will not be allowed to sit the exam.
Candidates have been instructed to be present at their assigned seats at least 50 minutes before the exam begins to allow sufficient time for identity verification and other necessary procedures.
The commission emphasised that late arrivals will not be permitted entry into the examination hall.
The FPSC further directed that no extra material of any kind is allowed in the exam hall, including stencils, additional papers, notes, or any other unrelated items.
Candidates are only permitted to bring items specifically allowed under the previously issued instructions.
The commission urged candidates to ensure full compliance not only with these new instructions but also with all previously issued directives.
It warned that violations could lead to disciplinary action, including disqualification from the exam.
According to the FPSC, these measures are intended to ensure transparency, discipline, and merit in the examination process.
Candidates have been advised to read all instructions carefully and arrive fully prepared to avoid any difficulties at the exam centres.
