Pakistan is immersed in festivities as Muslims celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) today (Tuesday) across the country.
The day began with special prayers in mosques and homes for national development, security, prosperity, and unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Following the Fajr prayer, 31 gun salutes echoed through the federal capital, while 21 gun salutes resounded in provincial capitals.
Cities, streets, mosques, buildings, bazaars, and intersections are adorned with vibrant green flags and colourful lights.
Durood and Salam gatherings are being organised, and processions are taking place across the country, expressing love and devotion to the Prophet (PBUH).
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have issued special messages for the Muslim Ummah to commemorate the significant occasion.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is a public holiday in Pakistan, with government offices, schools, and businesses closed to allow citizens to participate in the celebrations.
