Federal Minister for Information, Atta Tarar once again dismissed PTI’s claims regarding the death of protesters during the security operation in Islamabad, asserting that "no deaths occurred."
In a video statement, Tarar presented footage of PTI supporters who had either claimed to have been shot or were rumored to have died.
One video featured a PTI worker who filmed himself during the protest, alleging he had been hit by a bullet. However, he later clarified that his injury was a hand fracture, not a gunshot wound.
In another clip, a father refuted rumors about his son's death during the PTI protest, confirming that his son was alive and well.
Tarar criticised PTI for spreading misinformation on social media platforms, saying, “Dead bodies are only on TikTok, Facebook, X, and WhatsApp.” He emphasised that no concrete evidence of any deaths has been provided.
He also accused PTI of manipulating figures related to casualties, stating that the party has given inconsistent numbers to the media.
Highlighting the government's achievements, Tarar noted that Pakistan's economy is showing signs of recovery, with foreign exchange reserves increasing, the stock exchange surpassing 100,000 points, and inflation dropping to a 70-month low.
