Renowned scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza was slammed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and supporters after he called party founder Imran Khan "Master of U-turn."
The anti-Imran remarks from the cleric came during his recent appearance in a podcast hosted by Talha Ahad.
During the interview, Mirza, who voted for Imran Khan in the 2013 elections, openly criticised the former prime minister for his alleged "anti-state and anti-establishment narratives."
Reacting to the alleged social media trolls of PTI, the scholar said: "I consider this terrorism. It's a fitna."
In response to a question regarding any chances of normalising ties between Mr Khan and the establishment, Mirza said that Pakistan will not stablise if the PTI founder walks free from jail.
"[...] If Imran Khan gets out of jail then you won't witness any stability in the country and the army knows it that's why he is in jail, but [he is behind bars] till anyone gives his guarantee," the Jehlum's scholar said.

"But no one will give his guarantee as his [Imran Khan] life is full of U-turns. He can't stick to his claims," Mirza added.
Furthermore, the Islamic leader advised the political leaders, establishment, and judiciary to apologise to the public for their mistakes.
"[...] Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Chief Justice and Army Chief should apologise for their [alleged] wrongdoings publically and they must give a guarantee that they won't repeat their mistakes," Mirza emphasised.
The scholar claimed that he was terminated from his job in 2017 by the establishment.
"I approached the then-prime minister Imran Khan at that time but no one gave me justice," he said.
However, his statements were not well received by the PTI workers and leaders, who demanded Mirza to apologise for his unfiltered remarks.
