Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) headquarters on Tuesday to review the country's preparedness and response arrangements for the ongoing monsoon season.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the NDMA chairman briefed the army chief on the NEOC's operational capabilities, technology-enabled response systems and the "Disaster Lens 2026" platform, which monitors the current monsoon situation and multiple hazards across the country.

Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the NDMA's efforts to strengthen Pakistan's disaster management capacity and stressed the importance of preparedness, effective coordination among institutions and a swift response to protect lives and critical infrastructure.

He also reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully prepared to support the civil administration and the NDMA in relief, rescue and rehabilitation operations.
