The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, expressed deep gratitude to Pakistan for its solidarity and cooperation in the face of Israeli aggression, praising the Pakistani government and its people for their principled stance.
According to a report by Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Major General Mousavi conveyed his appreciation during a phone call with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir. He lauded Pakistan’s courage and support during unprovoked Israeli aggression directed against Iran.
During the conversation, the Iranian commander condemned US involvement in what he termed "Zionist aggression" and accused Washington of fully mobilising its military resources to protect Israel from Iran’s retaliatory strikes.
“The United States not only participated directly in the conflict but also deployed its full military capacity to shield the Zionist regime from Iran’s missile and drone attacks,” Mousavi was quoted as saying.
He further alleged that several Western nations, in addition to the United States, provided moral and material support to Israel during the conflict.

Despite the martyrdom of top Iranian commanders and initial setbacks, Mousavi stated that Iran managed to disrupt enemy plans and ultimately forced them to seek a ceasefire.
Israel launched a major offensive against Iran on June 13, targeting senior military leaders, including the heads of the Armed Forces and the Revolutionary Guards, and bombing several nuclear facilities.
In retaliation, Iran struck key Israeli installations in the 12-day war. The United States entered the fray in support of Israel and claimed to have destroyed critical Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.
Iran responded by launching missile attacks on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq. Following these developments, the United States called for a ceasefire, which took effect on June 24 between Iran and Israel.
