Following months of frustrating passport delays, the inauguration of a 24/7 passport office in Nazimabad finally brought some relief for Karachi’s citizens. This round-the-clock service promises to meet the community’s needs and ensure that citizens can obtain their passports at any time of the day.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a passport office at Nazimabad’s Nadra mega centre on Thursday, fulfilling a promise he made months ago when citcens complaine about delays in azquiring passports.

Accompanied by Director General Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazmi, Naqvi visited the passport counter, where he met staff and heard the complaints of applicants regarding their database documentation.

The Minister was briefed that the office would remain functional 24/7, in three shifts, where citizens would get services any time of the day. 

The citizens expressed their satisfaction over the provision of excellent facilities, thanked the Interior Minister and said that the news service would provide a and covenience.

On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi listened to the problems of women who faced troubles in thier biometric verifaction under BISP and instructed the concerned authorities to resolve the problem.  

Earlier, a month ago, the authority had announced that passport services would now be available at the NADRA Mega Centre 5 Star Chowrangi and NADRA Mega Centre Siemens Chowrangi (SITE).

The government had made this decision to reduce congestion at the central passport office by providing alternative centres for passport services.

The initiative had been finalised during the visit of Director General Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi to Karachi, where the plan to establish passport offices at NADRA centres was discussed.
