Pakistan has once again been ranked among the countries with the weakest passports in the Henley Passport Index for the first half of 2025.
The annual index, compiled by Henley & Partners, evaluates passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access without requiring a visa. According to the latest rankings, Singapore holds the top position, with its passport providing visa-free access to 195 countries.
Japan follows closely behind, ranked second, offering visa-free entry to 193 nations. South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland share the third spot, with holders able to travel to 192 countries without a visa.
In fourth place are Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands, whose passports provide access to 191 countries.
Belgium, Portugal, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the UK are in fifth place, with 190 countries accessible without a visa. Australia and Greece share the sixth spot, offering visa-free travel to 189 countries.
At the other end of the spectrum, Pakistan ranks in joint 103rd place alongside Yemen, with its passport granting visa-free access to only 33 countries.
Other countries with weaker passports than Pakistan include Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. In comparison, India is ranked 85th, China at 60th, Iran at 96th, and Saudi Arabia at 58th in the index.
