Residents in Karachi witnessed a mesmerising halo formed around the sun on Friday (today).
Weather analyst Jawad Memon shared a picture of the rare atmospheric phenomenon on his microblogging site, X, account.
The 22-degree halo formed a circular ring of light around the sun, creating a breathtaking sight.
According to the weatherman, sun halos are relatively rare and occur when sunlight passes through ice crystals in the atmosphere at a precise angle, creating the illusion of a ring around the sun.

It's pertinent to mention here that the port city has been reeling from the extremely hot weather for three days.
On Wednesday, almost 250 mourners fell unconscious due to a heatwave during the Ashura procession.
A day earlier, over 20 dead bodies were found from the different areas of the metropolis.
Rescue officials said that the deaths occurred due to the searing temperatures.
