Lahore ranked as the most polluted city in the world

Lahore has once again been ranked as the most polluted city in the world. The air quality in Lahore has deteriorated to “hazardous” levels, according to IQAir. 

Official readings showed Lahore’s AQI going above safe numbers, placing it at the top of the global pollution rankings.

On the same list, Karachi was also ranked among the most polluted cities, recording an AQI significantly higher than what is considered healthy for the public.

The smog crisis intensified this year in winters, with industrial emissions, heavy pollution from vehicles, crop remains burning in nearby regions, and stagnant weather conditions cited as key contributors to the poor air quality.
