A lost bag containing valuables worth Rs4 million was returned to its owner at Islamabad International Airport.

A female passenger left her bag in the changing room in domestic lounge after her arrival at the airport from Karachi.

The bag contained 110 British pounds, PKR22,830, 10 tolas of gold, two mobile phones, and one lady's Swiss watch. The valuables in the bag valued around Rs 4 million, approximately.

A female sanitary attendant, Sobia Asif, visited that room and found the lost bag.

She took the bag into her custody by following the SOPs and later handed it over to the Terminal Manager for Arrivals, Tabassum Ara, who then deposited the bag in the Civil Aviation Authority's Lost and Found office.

Subsequently, the family went to the airport and reached out to the CAA Lost and Found department to inquire about their misplaced bag. Following the required verification process, the bag was returned to the female passenger in the Chief Operating Officer/Airport Manager's presence.

Expressing gratitude, she commended the CAA management for their diligent efforts and acknowledged the integrity of the woman employee who first discovered the bag.

Sobia Asif received an appreciation certificate and Rs25000 as a token of recognition for her honesty and professionalism in the workplace.
