Mahrang Baloch's social media account being operated from India, claims Jan Achakzai

Caretaker Information Minister of Balochistan Jan Achakzai claimed on Friday that Baloch leader Mahrang Baloch's social media account is being operated from India.

Talking to the media, he emphasised that Balochistan is an integral part of Pakistan and will always remain so.

Achakzai said that India was involved in terrorist activites in Pakistan, adding that the neighbouring country would get nothing except failure and disgrace.

He maitained that the entire country supported the people of Balochistan, welcoming those who aligned with the national stream. He said the government was ready to negotiate with 'straying people'.

Previously on January 9, Achakzai had billed Dr. Mahrang Baloch as the daughter of a terrorist, saying she was advocating for facilitators of miscreants. “Dr Mahrang Baloch wants to become Malala Yousafzai Part 2,” he added.

Achakzai expressed disappointment with those who supported Mahrang Baloch's cause instead of the Balochistan martyrs. He said that those involved in terrorism cannot contribute to Balochistan's development.

On the flip side, Mahrang Baloch strongly denied the accusations of Achakzai. In an interview, she said the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) would continue to report injustices committed against their people to the United Nations.

She clarified that, “I am not leaving Pakistan. I am sitting here in Islamabad and I will be here until our grievances are addressed.”
