The motorway police in Lahore returned two diamond rings worth Rs1 million to their owner after finding them with the help of a cops team, National Highways and Motorway police said on Saturday.

In a tweet, NHMP said the Pakistani-American woman was travelling from Lahore to Dera Ghazi Khan, where she took a stopover at Jaranwala rest house and forgot her jewelry there.

According to police, the woman contacted NHMP through helpline number 130 and upon receiving the complaint, the designated team arrived at the spot and started searching for worthy rings. 

However, after an hours-long search, police successfully found the rings and handed them over to the owner.
