According to Noshki Deputy Commissioner Amjad Soomro, the incident occurred when the oil tanker, parked at a truck depot, caught fire, injuring at least 40 people.

The investigation suggested that the tanker caught fire due to welding work being carried out on it.

Balochistan Government Spokesperson Shahid Rind described the incident as "unfortunate," noting that the fire was so intense that it engulfed the fire brigade vehicle present at the scene.

Rind further stated that investigations have been underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
