Mir Raza Ali case: Police surgeon says photos and post-mortem do not match

KARACHI, August 5, 2026: A senior police surgeon has expressed concerns about the post-mortem report of Mir Raza Ali since the medical report does not seem to tally with the photographs taken of the victim’s body, according to ARY News.

According to ARY News, Police Surgeon Dr Samia said there are contradictions between the medical report and pictures of the body.

"The photographs say one thing while the post-mortem report states another," she stated.

In her opinion, various parts of the body seemed to be swollen and discolored in the photographs, indicating that the areas needed a closer examination in order to see if any injury was sustained.

Dr Samia has also challenged the direction in which the bullet struck since she saw contradictions, raising a number of unanswered questions regarding the murder case.

According to her, the decomposed state of the victim was more visible on his face and upper portion of the body. This is due to the reason that the areas needed a closer analysis to find out the nature of injuries and their link to the death.

The observations have been made in the wake of a murder investigation carried out by investigators regarding the high profile murder case of Karachi trader Mir Raza Ali. 

The police surgeon has made her observations at a time when investigators have been examining the forensic evidence, digital information and CCTV footage in the murder case.
