Pakistan railways to launch modern business-class train between Karachi and Lahore

Pakistan Railways has announced the launch of a new state-of-the-art business-class train.

The Karachi-Lahore train is scheduled to begin operations this week, according to state broadcaster PTV.

The new service aims to improve the passenger experience, especially for business and frequent travelers. The train will consist of 28 modern, digitally-equipped coaches designed to offer a comfortable and contemporary journey.

Key features include complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the trip and an international-standard dining car offering premium meal options.

This launch is seen as a major step in Pakistan Railways’ ongoing modernisation efforts, as the department seeks to upgrade its fleet and enhance passenger amenities across major routes.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to inaugurate the new train service in Lahore on July 19.
