Meta-owned Instagram has changed its name logo for the first time in years.
Yes, Instagram has actually introduced a new logo, which is a text-only logo.
Adam Mosseri, head of the Meta-owned photo-sharing app, announced the change in a post.
He described the new logo as better and more modern than the previous one, while saying that it would retain the simplicity of the old name design.
He said that after more than a decade, Instagram’s logo was being changed because the previous logo had started to look outdated.
The font now being used for the name has also slightly changed the appearance of the letters in the word “Instagram.”
The last time Instagram changed its logo design was in 2016, when it moved away from the classic brown camera design and adopted the colorful rainbow-style logo.
Meta has not yet issued an official statement regarding the change.
