The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has opened applications for five-year visas to Pakistani citizens, announced UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi during a meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori on Tuesday.
The announcement was made at the Governor House in Karachi, where the ambassador was accompanied by UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi.
During the meeting, Al Zaabi also extended an invitation to the governor to visit the UAE visa center in Karachi and expressed support for various development initiatives led by the governor.
As part of his visit, the ambassador participated in a tree plantation activity, attended a flag-hoisting ceremony, and signed the guest book, referring to the event as a symbol of enduring friendship between the two nations.
The development follows recent confirmation from UAE authorities that no visa ban is currently in place for Pakistani nationals.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, applicants for the five-year visa must submit return flight tickets, confirmed hotel reservations, proof of property ownership (if applicable), and a security deposit of AED3,000.
Pakistani nationals have previously faced increased scrutiny over fake documentation, visa overstays, and misuse of social media platforms. The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi has been engaging with UAE authorities to address these concerns.
