Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Tuesday resumed flight operations to Gulf countries after reports of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, which helped ease tensions in the region.
“PIA flight operations to Gulf/KSA countries are resumed as of 12:30 PST/07:30 UTC,” the national carrier announced Tuesday on social media platform X.

The move follows the statement of US President Donald Trump, who said both Iran and Israel had agreed to a truce.
“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!” Trump posted on Truth Social. News of the ceasefire triggered a sharp decline in global oil prices, as fears of supply disruptions began to fade.
A day earlier, PIA had suspended its services to Gulf destinations, including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE, due to escalating military activity in the Middle East. The suspension affected hundreds of travelers.
“The security and well-being of our passengers remain our foremost priority,” a PIA spokesperson said at the time, adding that operations would resume “as soon as the security landscape allows.”
