In a bid to help Palestine and Lebanon, Prime Minister Shehbaz Shahbaz sought the public’s contribution to humanitarian aid for war-hit countries.
Premier asked the affluent to contribute to the Prime Minister’s relief fund for Gaza and Beirut to dispatch aid to the region.
The announcement was made during the meeting chaired by PM Shehbaz.
He directed for immediate dispatching of two planes with aid and called for additional goods to be sent via route.
He also directed the Pakistani ambassadors in Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt to begin the speedy distribution of aid and ensure it reaches deserving recipients.
Prime Minister also requested the media to raise awareness about the aid as well as relief funds being sent to the war-victim countries to support them against Israel’s aggression.
It was brief in the meeting that the country was delivering tents, clothes, blankets, medicine, food, and drinking water to the affected areas, however, Israel’s attacks and blocked routes were causing trouble delivering the aid.
PM Shehbaz said if the NGOs want to send aid to Gaza, the government will facilitate them.
Earlier last week, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) dispatched its second humanitarian aid consignment to the war-affected areas of Lebanon.
