A man who had disappeared nearly three decades ago was recently found dead beneath the debris of the Lady Pals Glacier, located in the Lady Valley of the Kolai-Palas district in Pakistan's Kohistan region, bordering Gilgit-Baltistan.

Naziruddin, son of Behram from the Saleh Khel tribe, had gone missing during a snowstorm in the area 28 years ago. His remains were discovered near Lady Glacier in the Bar Pals area.

The body was identified with the help of a national identity card found in the pocket of his waistcoat. Reports indicated that both his clothing and the documents were remarkably well-preserved.

According to details, the incident occurred in 1997 when Naziruddin was returning from Spat. Due to severe weather, he allegedly plunged into a crevasse in a glacier along with his horse.

Although there were comprehensive search operations conducted at that time, he could not be found and was ultimately declared missing.

Recently, local shepherds found human remains beneath the receding glacier and quickly informed local residents and officials.

Following an investigation, officials confirmed that the remains belonged to Naziruddin, who had been a victim of the snowstorm decades earlier.

Upon hearing the news, his family rushed to the site and identified his body. After nearly thirty years of painful waiting and unanswered questions, they were finally able to lay their loved one to rest and find some peace.
