LAHORE: Differences have reportedly emerged among Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders regarding the protest call for November 24 as key Punjab leaders openly expressed by their reservations.
According to sources cited by national media, Punjab PTI leaders have raised concerns about being sidelined during the planning process.
They noted that a recent meeting in Peshawar, which was supposed to address Punjab-related matters, did not adequately include input from Punjab leadership.
Party insiders revealed that Ali Amin Gandapur dominated the discussions and did not allow Hammad Azhar or Mian Aslam Iqbal to voice their opinions about Punjab's specific challenges.
Punjab leaders reportedly complained that logistical issues, such as mobilizing workers and arranging transportation to Islamabad, were not discussed.
The lack of consultation on protest planning has left them 'frustrated.'
Sources further disclosed that Punjab leaders are facing significant hurdles, including the unavailability of rental vehicles and the refusal of transporters to cooperate.
They said that a more inclusive consultation could have improved the protest's chances of success.
