In an important message concerning the much-talked-about civil disobedience movement, former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan on Thursday said that he had demanded two things from the government; the release of PTI’s all under-trial prisoners and the constitution of a judicial commission to probe the May 9 and May 27 incidents.
In a message shared from his official PTI X account, Imran Khan said: "If the government does not take action on them by Sunday, the first phase of the civil disobedience movement, the 'Remittances Boycott,' will begin."
In his message, Khan lauded PTI workers' bravery on November 26 and February 8. "After the Awami League in 1971, PTI is the second party to face such state oppression. However, despite this, PTI achieved a historic victory in the elections and continued its struggle until November 26, making history."
November 26 is the darkest day in Pakistan's history. On that day, unarmed people were fired upon by snipers, young individuals were injured and martyred, and many have been missing for three weeks. It is the government's responsibility to locate the missing persons.
As long as I live, I will fight for an investigation into the massacre of these individuals, and I will not rest until justice is served., Khan said in his message and added that the families of the martyrs are grieving. I personally suffered great distress upon hearing of the shootings, and despite taking sleeping pills, I could not sleep due to the anguish of seeing unarmed people being brutalized.
PTI's offer for talks was mocked, and an impression was given that we had capitulated. The offer for talks and the postponement of the civil disobedience movement were made in the larger national interest. If the government is not interested, we will not place a gun to their heads to force negotiations. Our offer for talks should never be seen as a sign of weakness.
"If the government still wishes to prevent the civil disobedience movement from starting, they should contact us regarding our two demands or convince us that these demands are unconstitutional and cannot be discussed."

2 ) 9 مئی اور 26 نومبر کے واقعات کی شفاف تحقیقات کے لیے جوڈیشل کمیشن کا قیام
