PTI's Shibli Faraz 'misbehaves' with senior journalist Fahad Shehbaz

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Shibli Faraz on Friday lost his cool when senior journalist Fahad Shehbaz asked him hard-hitting questions involving party founder Imran Khan.

The video of the incident also went viral on social media, in which the PTI stalwart was seen expressing his disapproval with the reporter.

A day earlier, the former prime minister alleged that the PMLN-led coalition government aims to create a rift between the army and PTI.

"[PM] Shehbaz Sharif and the current government are trying to pit the army against the masses and PTI but 90 percent of Pakistan’s population supports PTI and stands by Imran Khan," the veteran politician said in a message conveyed by PTI secretary general Omar Ayub Khan.

Referring to Mr Khan's statement, the journalist asked Shibli to comment on the allegations levelled by his party founder.

"No, you didn't understand [Khan's statement]... PML-N is just trying to maintain pressure in order to save its government and after the reserved seat's verdict, PTI is the only single largest party," the PTI lawmaker replied.

In response, the reporter questioned how PML-N is behind the tense relationship between PTI and the establishment.

"They are just trying," Shibli answered.

"But how can they try?" the host cross-questioned which angered the PTI leader.

"Why you are cross-questioning me, are we in the talk show?" Shibli said while grabbing the mic from the journalist's hand.
