Saudi Arabia's General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has introduced a range of digital services through its website to help visitors plan their trips to the Masjid-i-Nabvi in advance.
The new platform gives visitors access to useful information and services before and during their visit, with the aim of making their experience more convenient and improving the quality of digital support.
Among the features available are an interactive map of Masjid-i-Nabvi, a live crowd tracker for the route to offer salutations to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), real-time updates on prayer area occupancy, a visits portal, Manarat Al-Haramain, a worshipper's guide and a children's hospitality centre.
The interactive map provides updated information on facilities and service points inside and around the mosque, making it easier for visitors to find their way.
The crowd monitoring service allows visitors to check congestion levels before heading to offer salutations to the Prophet (peace be upon him), while the prayer area occupancy feature helps them identify less crowded places and suitable times for prayers.
The authority encouraged visitors to use the platform through its official website, saying the digital initiative is intended to simplify the pilgrimage experience and improve services in line with Saudi Arabia's digital transformation goals.
