Westminster Islamabad students win Global Model UN Singapore 2026

Students from Westminster Academy Islamabad have brought international recognition to Pakistan after securing the World Champions and Best Delegation titles at Global Model UN Singapore 2026.

The 10-member delegation represented Pakistan at the five-day conference, organised by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) from August 11 to 15 in Singapore. 

WFUNA describes Global Model UN as an authentic, UN-aligned simulation designed to familiarize young people with multilateral diplomacy and the workings of the United Nations.

According to Westminster, its students won eight Best Diplomacy Awards, while two members of the delegation were shortlisted among 12 international speakers for the Opening Ceremony’s Plenary Speech.

Global Model UN Singapore 2026 brought together young participants for simulations of UN bodies, including the General Assembly, World Health Assembly, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and International Labour Organization.
