The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a fresh weather forecast for the port city.

Last week, Karachi experienced a scorching high of 55°C feels-like temperature due to the high ratio of humidity in the air.

However, the temperature was recorded at between 40-48°C.

In the recent forecast, the Met office predicted hot and humid weather in the metropolis for the next 24 hours.

According to the advisory, the temperature in Karachi is expected to soar to 36°C, with an estimated 58% humidity in the air.

Meanwhile, the sea breezes were blowing at a speed of 18 kilometres per hour.

The Met Office said that the weather in Karachi is likely to remain hot and humid until next week.

However, the city is expected to receive rain after a week.

Moreover, the PMD has forecast that the average temperature in July will be around 27.9°C after the rains.

The weather department said that monsoon activities from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal continued in the upper and central parts of the country, and the rains are expected to wet the port city from July 8.
