Woman found dead near Islamabad's Margalla Hills

The body of an unidentified woman was found near Margalla Hills, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the popular Monal restaurant.

The victim was allegedly gunned down by unknown assailants, said police.

The Kohsar Police, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Shafqat Fayaz, reached the scene and transported the body to Polyclinic Hospital for further examination and autopsy.

As part of their investigation, authorities collected fingerprint samples from the deceased to aid in identification.

The motive behind the murder and the identity of the perpetrators remain unknown.

 Police officials are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect or circumstances surrounding the crime to come forward.

Details of the incident are still emerging, but authorities confirm that the victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. 

The police are exploring all possible angles, including reviewing CCTV footage and conducting interviews with local residents and witnesses. 

It should be noted here that the Margalla Hills, a popular tourist destination, have witnessed instances of crime in the past.
