Facebook has launched its Content Monetization beta program, a new monetization platform that enables creators to earn from various content formats, including Reels, longer videos, photos, and text posts.
This unified program merges Facebook's existing monetization initiatives, streamlining the earning process for creators.
Since introducing monetization in 2017, over four million content creators have earned money on Facebook, with payouts exceeding $2 billion in the past year. Reels and short video payouts have grown significantly, increasing by over 80%.
The new program ends complexities associated with multiple monetization programs, allowing creators to join a single program and track performance through unified insights.
Facebook Content Monetization retains the performance-based payout model used in Ads on Reels, In-Stream Ads, and the Performance Bonus.
Eligible content creators will receive invitations to join the beta, with open enrollment available in 2025. Interested creators can express interest and learn more on Facebook for Creators.
