Atheist for years, Elon Musk says he now believes in God

Elon Musk, tech billionaire revealed he now believes “God exists” after years of being an atheist.

In a recent episode of The Katie Miller Podcast, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX said he believes the universe “came from something” and described God as “the Creator’’.

Musk told Katie Miller when asked who he “looks up to the most,” his answer was “the Creator.” He claimed that although he does not commit to traditional religious beliefs, he feels the universe did not arise from nothing. 

This negates his earlier public stance last year when he described himself as a “cultural Christian”. He also commented critically on modern secular movements. In August, Musk posted on X that “Woke is a religion that filled the void that Christianity left.” 

The hour-long podcast, released on December 9, also featured discussions about Musk’s unconventional ideas, including comparisons of human life to simulations, his views on Darwin’s theory applied to simulation theory, and topics ranging from time travel to Mars colonization and aliens. 

Musk’s evolving perspective on faith comes amid his political commentary and public support for conservative figures and causes, including backing President Donald Trump and criticism of what he terms the “woke mind virus.”
