Woman arrested for house theft, 15 Tola gold jewellery recovered

Karachi: Police in Shah Faisal Colony have solved a house burglary case and arrested a female suspect, recovering more than 15 tolas of gold jewellery and other valuables.

Police are conducting raids to arrest her brother, who is also allegedly involved in the theft.

SHO Shah Faisal Zahid Hussain said the burglary took place on August 29 at a house in Shah Faisal Reta Plaza, Block 2, where the locks were broken and gold jewellery, cash and property files were stolen.

He said police immediately visited the crime scene and collected available evidence and CCTV footage. Using technical resources and information from confidential sources, police traced and arrested the suspect, identified as Faiza.

According to the SHO, police recovered more than 15 tolas of gold jewellery, cash, a laptop, mobile phones, property files for various houses and plots, and other documents.

He added that the burgled house belonged to a close relative of the suspect. Her brother was also allegedly involved in the crime, and police are conducting raids to arrest him.
