Female TikToker found dead at her home in Sindh's Ghotki

A female TikToker was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her home in Sindh’s Ghotki district on Friday.

Initial reports say that Sumira Rajput may have died after consuming a poisonous substance.

Her body has been shifted to a local hospital for a postmortem examination, while police await the autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death.

Speaking to the media, Sumira’s brother alleged that she was poisoned by her ex-husband, Ali Raza, with the help of his friend Imran.

Police have taken Ali Raza and another man, Adnan, into custody for questioning. Ghotki police officials said the case is being treated with seriousness and further legal action will be taken once the autopsy report is recieved.

Shortly after her death, an old video of the deceased TikToker resurfaced on social media in which she expressed fear for her life and claimed that her ex-husband would be responsible if anything happened to her.

The police have collected forensic evidence from her residence and have expanded the scope of their probe.

Last month, Sana Yousaf, who had hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram, was shot dead at her home in Islamabad. Her suspected murderer, Omar Hayat, was later arrested. He admitted that he murdered the social media influencer after she refused to meet him.

He said he had invited Sana Yousaf to meet for the first time and waited all day, only for her to tell him to go back. He claimed he had brought her a gift for her birthday, which she declined to accept.

The suspect further stated that on June 2, Sana called him again for a meeting but did not see him when he showed up. He said that he was “deeply upset” by her repeated refusals and, in a fit of rage, went to her home and shot her dead.
