Hyderabad: A government school in Hyderabad has earned international recognition after being named among the world's top schools in the World's Best School Prizes 2026.
The World's Best School Prizes, organized by T4 Education, recognize schools worldwide that demonstrate excellence in education, student well-being, innovation, and community impact.
The awards are considered among the most prestigious global honors in the education sector, with only a select number of schools shortlisted from thousands of applications each year.
This year, only two schools from Pakistan were shortlisted for the awards: a private school from Punjab and a government school from Sindh.
The Government Girls Lower Secondary School, Tando Mir Ghulam Hussain, located in Hyderabad, has secured a place among the Top 10 finalists in the Community Collaboration category of the World's Best School Prizes 2026, bringing international recognition to Pakistan's public education system.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah congratulated the school's administration, principal, teachers, students, parents, and the local community on the achievement.
He said the recognition is not only a milestone for the school but also a source of pride for Sindh's education system, public schools, and Pakistan as a whole.
