A young man in Islamabad was reportedly shot dead by his family members after he publicly announced his conversion from Christianity to Islam on Facebook a few days ago.

The victim, identified as Muhammad Zaffar Abbas, formerly known as Arman Joseph, was allegedly shot 32 times by his family, who were reportedly opposed to his decision to embrace Islam.

Abbas' Facebook friend, Komal Ahmad Moavia, brought attention to the tragic incident, stating that his family was deeply Christian and disapproved of his conversion.

Despite efforts to locate his Facebook account, Muhammad Zaffar Abbas’ profile could not be accessed. However, several social media accounts shared his picture, which showed him wearing a red T-shirt.

An X account also reported that Abbas’ wife divorced him and took their children after he abandoned Christianity. His family reportedly banished him from their home following his conversion.

Social media users expressed outrage over Abbas' brutal murder, calling for justice in response to his killing over religious beliefs.

While the incident could not be confirmed by official sources or prominent news outlets, the outcry on social media continued, with users demanding the perpetrators be held accountable.
