A teenage boy, who was critically wounded during a robbery bid in Orangi Town has died during treatment, police said on Friday.

According to details, Huzaifa, son of Muhammad Tariq, was shot on Wednesday in the Pirabad police limits near Qasba Colony No. 2½ in Orangi Town when he resisted armed robbers at a mobile phone accessories shop.

The injured youth was under treatment at Jinnah Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. The deceased was a resident of Qasba Colony.

Police officials said that the victim had thrown his mobile phone during the robbery, prompting the armed suspects to open fire.
