Police seek Mir Raza Ali's SIM to trace new leads in murder probe

A judicial magistrate in Karachi on Saturday adjourned the hearing of the Mir Raza Ali murder case until August 24 after the new investigation officer sought time to obtain the the victim's SIM and submit medical and investigation reports.

The new investigation officer appeared before the court and said the SIM used by Mir Raza is needed to take the probe forward.

The court asked how the police planned to obtain the deceased's SIM.

The investigation officer replied that they would try to obtain it using the biometric verification and CNIC of Mir Raza's mother.

The officer also sought time to submit the medical and investigation reports at the next hearing.

The court granted the DSP more time and adjourned the hearing until August 24, directing the authorities to submit a progress report and medical examination report at the next hearing.
