Karachi man remanded for killing father, brother and injuring sister-in-law in PIB Colony

A Judicial Magistrate (East) in Karachi has remanded the accused, Ejaz, into police custody for five days in connection with the murder of his father and brother and the attempted murder of his sister-in-law in PIB Colony.
The suspect was presented before the court after being named in the FIR. While police requested a 14-day physical remand, the court granted a five-day remand and directed the investigation officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing.
According to police, the suspect had obtained an MBA degree and worked in the marketing sector.
He had previously been employed abroad four years ago before returning to Pakistan.

The investigation officer informed the court that forensic analysis of the recovered weapon is required, and the suspect’s criminal record (CRO) also needs to be obtained—hence the request for remand.
The FIR states that Professor Nematullah and his son Umaid were killed in the shooting incident, while Saleha Tabassum, the suspect’s sister-in-law, sustained injuries.
The case was registered under sections of the law pertaining to murder and attempted murder.
