Man arrested for molesting minor girl playing outside her home in Kasur

Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in molesting a minor girl who was playing outside her home in Punjab's Kasur district.

The incident took place as the girl was playing with another minor boy in Shah Inayat colony in the Khara Road area. A disturbing video of the incident has also gone viral on social media.

CCTV footage shows the suspect approaching the girl from behind when children are playing on their tricycles.

As a young boy pedalls ahead, the girl is left alone. Taking advantage of the moment, the man molested her and immediately fled the scene. The visibly disturbed girl is seen in the video screaming and running back towards her house.

Police later arrested the suspect identified as Nasir Wattoo, a resident of Okara.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the girl’s father.

The case has sparked widespread concern over child safety and the need for vigilance in public areas. Police say further investigations are ongoing.
