Gold prices in Pakistan dipped slightly on Monday, following a similar trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold per tola fell by Rs100 to settle at Rs356,300. Meanwhile, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs85, reaching Rs305,470.
This follows Saturday’s trading, when the gold rate per tola dropped by Rs300 to close at Rs356,400.
The international price of gold also saw a marginal decrease. As per the APGJSA, the global rate stood at $3,336 per ounce, reflecting a drop of $1. This rate includes a $20 premium.
In contrast, silver prices in the domestic market remained stable. The price per tola of silver held steady at Rs3,963, with no change reported.
Gold prices have fluctuated in recent weeks due to shifts in international demand, investor sentiment, and economic uncertainty.
Local jewellers typically follow international trends closely when adjusting prices in the domestic market.
