Mentally-ill man hanging from 11kv wire in Khyber district rescued

Rescue 1122 staff saved the life of a mentally challenged man in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, tribal district of Khyber.

In a video widely shared on social media, a man can be seen hanging from 11kv voltage wire in the Khyber district.

The rescue 1122 staff reached the spot after being informed, and successfully rescued the mentally challenged man.

Two young girls including their mother died due to electric shock in Niban Chandio area of Gharo Thatta in August.

According to police, while installing the wire of the fan in the electrical board in the house, the woman was electrocuted. In order to save their mother, her two daughters were also electrocuted.

The mother and two daughters died on the spot due to electrocution, the police said.

Name of deceased woman is Maryam wife of Amir Baksh, while the daughters were identified as Zubaida and Zahida.
