Motorcycle rider arrested for harassing matric student in Lahore

A motorcycle rider accused of sexually harassing a matriculation student has been arrested in Lahore.

According to police, the SHO of Gulberg traced and apprehended the suspect from Noorjahan Road using technology.

Following a notice from the former DIG Operations, SP Shehrbano Naqvi had formed a special team to handle the case.

The victim, who had booked a ride through an app to travel from Johar Town to a residence in a private society, was taken by the rider, identified as Shoaib, to Gulberg Ali Zaib Road under false pretenses.

ASP Gulberg stated that the suspect harassed students near a park during the ride.

A case has been registered against Shoaib, and he has been handed over to the Investigation Wing.

Authorities emphasized that those exploiting women will not be shown any leniency.
