Prisoner raped, murdered at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi

In a shocking incident, a prisoner, identified as Sabeel, was raped and murdered by his fellow inmates at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, jail authorities said on Wednesday.

As per details, the police Station Saddar Beroni has registered the case against four alleged suspects, Waqas, Asif, Naqash, and Bilal, under the charges of rape and murder on the complaint of the Adiala jail superintendent.

According to the first information report (FIR), the four suspects tied the hands and feet of the victim and subjected him to brutal rape.

After committing the heinous act, the suspects murdered the victim by choking his neck with a cloth, the FIR added.

The FIR revealed that the victim, Sabeel, was shifted to jail hospital in the wee hours of December 31 after he complained of breathing problems, later, he was transferred to his cell after medications.

On the morning of January 2, Sabeel was discovered unconscious and was subsequently pronounced dead upon being transferred to the prison hospital.

The suspicious marks on his throat prompted authorities to investigate further into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Later, it was discovered that Sabeel was raped and murdered by his fellow inmate, however, the authorities are investigating the matter.
