SC orders PIA to pay ex-employee 24-year pension

ISLAMABAD: The court directed PIA to pay the pension and other benefits to its worker for 24 years.

In the Supreme Court, a petition was made by a former employee of PIA, Mustafa Ansari. The case was heard by a three-judge bench, headed by Justice Shahid Waheed.

The counsel for the petitioners said that he was retired from service on account of a scheme in 2002, and thereafter, a decision had been made in the favor of the petitioner by the Sindh High Court to give him pension and other benefits.

However, those benefits were still unpaid for the past 24 years.
