Bangladesh secured a historic first-ever T20I series victory over Pakistan on Tuesday, defeating the visitors by seven runs in the second T20I at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Wicketkeeper-batter Jaker Ali played a pivotal role for the home side with a composed 55 off 48 deliveries, helping Bangladesh post a modest total of 133/8 after being asked to bat first. His innings included one four and five sixes and came in recovery mode after Bangladesh had slipped to 28/4 within the first six overs.

Ali was supported by Mahedi Hasan, who scored 33 off 25 balls during a crucial 53-run stand for the fifth wicket. Pakistan's bowling unit kept the pressure throughout, with debutant Ahmed Daniyal, Abbas Afridi, and Salman Mirza claiming two wickets each, while Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf chipped in with one apiece.

In response, Pakistan’s batting collapsed early, reduced to 15/5 inside five overs after losing opener Saim Ayub in the first over. A partial recovery effort was led by Faheem Ashraf, who top-scored with 51 off 32 balls, hitting four fours and four sixes. He stitched together key partnerships with Abbas Afridi (41-run stand) and later Daniyal Ahmed (33-run stand), but Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 126 on the second ball of the final over.

Shoriful Islam led Bangladesh’s bowling with figures of 3/17, while Mahedi Hasan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib claimed two wickets each. Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain picked up one apiece.

With this result, Bangladesh take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. They had earlier defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the first match.
