Cristiano Ronaldo, one of football’s most iconic figures, has expressed his desire to make Saudi Arabia his permanent home, highlighting the country’s peaceful environment and warm hospitality as key reasons behind his decision.
In a video message released by Al Nassr Football Club, the 42-year-old Portuguese superstar shared that both he and his family have grown deeply fond of life in the Kingdom.
“Saudi Arabia is a peaceful and safe country. My family and I feel truly comfortable here, like we are at home,” Ronaldo said.
He emphasized that his family’s happiness and support played a central role in the decision.
“We are very happy here, and that’s why we’ve decided to make this our home,” he added.

Ronaldo first joined Al Nassr after his departure from Manchester United in late 2022. He has since extended his contract with the Saudi club until 2027, a move confirmed last Thursday.
Reaffirming his commitment to the club, Ronaldo said he is determined to help Al Nassr secure major titles. He also revealed that he declined an invitation to participate in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, choosing instead to focus on rest and future preparations.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also spoke highly of the Saudi Pro League, ranking it among the top five football leagues in the world, and praised the country’s preparations to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, predicting it will be “one of the most beautiful tournaments in history.”
Ronaldo concluded by lauding the Kingdom’s culture and generosity: “People here are incredibly loving and kind, which is why I want to live my life here.”
